theorium.ch is a private service for preparing for the Swiss driving theory exam — the basic theory, shared by categories A, A1 and B. It is independent: it does not come from the asa, the Federal Roads Office or any cantonal road traffic office, and is mandated by none of them.

The questions offered are not the official exam questions. They are written from federal law in force — the Road Traffic Act and its ordinances — and cover the same syllabus in the same format. Each question names the article it is drawn from.

The texts, questions, explanations and graphics produced for this site belong to it. Reproducing them, extracting them systematically, or reusing them in a competing service is not permitted.

The depictions of road signs reproduced in the resources come from the Federal Roads Office and are published in the annexes of the Signalling Ordinance (SR 741.21). They are official works, which Art. 5 of the Copyright Act excludes from copyright protection.

The content is produced with care and tied to the text of the law, but no exam result is guaranteed. Passing depends on your own preparation, and the readiness score shown is an estimate, not a promise.

Traffic law changes. Where information on this site differs from the text in force, the text in force prevails, and your cantonal road traffic office remains the competent authority for any procedure.
