Mountain bike route sign
Information signsSign no. 4.50.3OSR art. 54a
What the sign says
It marks routes especially suited to mountain biking — often paths pedestrians use as well.
The exam trap
Unlike the other routes, this one creates a duty: its users owe pedestrians particular consideration, must warn them where needed, and stop if necessary.
Study topic
Vulnerable road users
The signs are the official depictions by the Federal Roads Office, from the annexes of the Signalling Ordinance (SR 741.21): official works, unprotected under Art. 5 of the Copyright Act. The explanations, by contrast, are written from federal law — never taken from a third-party catalogue.
