What the sign says

Blue plate, white lettering: the built-up area begins, on a main road. On a secondary road the same plate carries black lettering on white.

The exam trap

It is not what sets the 50 km/h limit — the general 50 sign does. The locality plate simply may not stand after it, so the two almost always come together.
