What the sign says

Motor vehicles and articulated vehicles whose registered total weight exceeds 3.5 t must keep at least the distance shown between them. A supplementary plate gives the length of the stretch.

The exam trap

The sign does not target cars, but they are not released from the general rule: the gap must let you stop behind whoever brakes.
