What the sign says

The panel gives the state of passes and access roads to resorts: open, closed, or passable only on the conditions shown.

The exam trap

The colours read themselves: red field, road closed; green field, road open; white field with the chains symbol, chains compulsory. An orange ground means a wide-area diversion.
