What the sign says

The 50 disc paired with the words general limit: it, and it alone, triggers the general 50 km/h limit inside built-up areas.

The exam trap

It goes up as soon as one of the two sides of the road is compactly built up — not at the first house, and not necessarily at the locality plate.
